New Everton Stadium

Do you honestly believe that Rangers is the only club to do what they did?

..and by saying that on an Everton thread...are you implying some guilt on the part of Everton? Or was it just a throwaway line...a bit of mischief. There can certainly be no serious intent for you to suggest impropriety at Everton in that way, you have too much common sense.

I am suggesting that, in answer to the previous post, Rangers wont be the only ones who did what they did.

......problem is that Investment is said to be dependent on a ground move.

Depends who is conveying that message I suppose (and to what aim!).

I think we can increase revenues now, not massively but still increase, simply by having a more professional structure at the top layer. After that I just don't think a new stadium will offer vast increases over and above a good redevelopment (though clearly depends on the quality of both). Maybe naming rights in a new stadium but for EFC that would probably mean one £10m player.

I don't think the accounts are in disorder but I would like answers as to our arrangements with VIBRAC etc.

Well, thats OK then. And you're probably right. If I had to hazard a guess, a previously massive club in Yorkshire must have a very confused recent financial history. Its another club, like Rangers, with massive potential for profit and vulnerable to takeovers which do not always seem to be in the best interests of the club, and I don't think thats something that could be said with confidence about Everton. One of the problems Bill K creates for himself is his viewpoint that he will only sell Everton to the 'right' person.

The 'right' person defence is another sad bit of spin.

Was the fraud from the Fortress Fund the right person? Stallone?

He has has 16 years to find new, substantial investment and nothing.

I read a quote from the shareholding association's meeting, which took place earlier this week, that went along the lines of...

... 'Bill says he is looking for investment, but what he really means is a donation'. I wonder how true this is?

I remember exactly that being said of Bill when this investment debate was raging years ago. Nothing new there.

I would like everyone to know I am also looking for a donation...... err... I mean investment.
