That makes sense to you? Because it makes less than zero sense to me.

First of all, Moshiri is worth way more than that. That's a super conservative estimate as only a small part of his wealth is in public equities.

Second all, as said before, there's nothing anyone can do about Usmanov wanted to say put a bazillion euros into naming rights for the new stadium as one example.

So I think we are doing okay from a money standpoint. However, the stadium investment is still not going to be the easiest thing to come by - it will be expensive, it's not an attractive financial deal for most banks. Public funding would be much better for all parties involved, but I'm sure the politics in and around Liverpool will make it tough.

There are no pockets in shrouds - whenever Mosh and Uzzy whittle of this mortal coil they will still leave £00000000...'s behind them. It's the nature of the beast that they might also want to leave behind a legacy whether it be in commercial business or even from a sporting perspective. They have established themselves in the former and now might be the time for the latter. In their twilight years to be seen as representative and the catalysts of a successful football club, both domestically and in European/World footballing terms. I think it's no coincidence usmanov sold his share in arsenal and abramovich has privately put Chelsea up for sale as well and in the wake of the attacks

Moshiri and usmanov are close but I don't think they are that close that usmanov would risk being banned from the country and having his assets here frozen.
