New Everton Stadium

Went to the Etihad on Saturday, whilst I have been before I have never been whilst it is cold and windy, and have to say I have never been so cold at a match, the design is awful. Down stairs it was so cold I couldn't even drink my pint it was like a wind tunnel.
I hope Meis is thinking about this with it located on the river Mersey will be awful if it is open to the elements

I wonder if that's cos the lower tier is built below ground level like Sunderland?
Spurs stadium is great, but looks too Americanised for me, all the small separate tiers screams SOCCERBALL to me.

One big stand won't help an atmosphere if it's smothered by small tiered corporate areas.

It looks good but that roof doesn't look like it's gonna protect the lower tiers much.

Another soulless bowl filled with tourists, you mean?
Hosting the NFL? No thanks.
Spurs could have sold thousands more Season Tickets but have decided to CAP the amount to around 43,000 so that members/supporters who can't afford a season ticket will still get to see games.

No to hosting NFL. Why not if it brings in extra money (and having the retractable pitch will also allow for the option of hosting concerts and even more income.)
Nobody knows hhow good the stadium is gonna be but you both sound like little kids putting something down cos you ain't got it!

Good times to be a Spurs fan.

The NFL deal was a joint effort, as in, it was lined up ages ago cos London can bring the support to more than a one off novalty match. It wasnt like Spurs decided to build a retractable pitch in the hope a team would use it.

Not entirely sure if Liverpool/wider NW area could sustain the attendances on a regular basis. Also, a London based franchise has a far greater pull in the US than a Liverpool one.

The reasons are purely financial. They can charge more per seat if sold individually. It's quite common already at quite a few clubs. You need a core season ticket base to maintain atmosphere & demand. Which gives you the flexibility to increase revenue from the rest of the seats.

I'd fully expect us to introduce a similar cap.

Didn't I read that the commitment to hold NFL brings with it quite substantial amenities that need to be housed on pretty much an entire side of the stadium? It's quite simply never gonna be accomodated in any north west stadium as it isn't worth the concessions.
