New Everton Stadium

The ginger fella from toffeetv has said that the club has told him those platforms in the crowd are temporary camera positions if required.

Tremendous design haha

I think they’ll be permanent camera platforms. If you think about how many camera angles sky and tnt have when they cover the matches it doesn’t surprise me. Apart from the main camera angle up in the gantry, there is one directly opposite in the east stand. There are always camera positions around the corner flags. There are always permanent camera platforms behind each goal. Not forgetting the camera positions var use for offside decisions. There’ll be at least 10 permanent platforms scattered around the ground amongst the stands, and probably some temporary areas set aside. That’s a few hundred seats lost I’d say.
No chance! Why would they ever have put seats there. I heard someone say something about taking videos for the 'view from seat' season ticket selections. That doesn't really make sense either but makes more sense tha gash looking temporary platforms for scum sports cameras.....can't remember seeing them.in any renders.

To be honest, I’d tell him any old guff just so he’d stop bothering me.

This is the man who thinks the Friedkin’s first move will be to fill Nelson Dock and bang up a 20,000 seater indoor arena.

How do you think there are so many camera angles and positions covered by sky etc?

Do you think they tell people people in the stands to bunch up a bit and leave a space for the cameraman?

There are loads of cameras at stadiums these days for broadcasting, covering loads of angles. Some are at ground level at the side of the pitch, but many are up in the stands. I’m not saying all these platforms will be permanent, and there will logically be some placed on barriers between upper and lower stands, but I’d say there will be some seats lost (maybe not hundreds as I said earlier) but perhaps more in the dozens.

I know this goes without saying for 99.9% of the forum, but for anyone tuning in late and getting mixed messages in this thread...

“SEL will then return around July to install the root layers, all of the drainage and irrigation and build up the layers, and we’re hoping to start planting grass seed around August time.”

Once the seeding is complete in early October, specialised machinery will then stitch synthetic fibres into the roots of the grass to strengthen them and provide a robust Desso surface.

These fibres, covering around 5% of the playing surface, are designed to interlock with the growing grass to provide strength and longevity.

Williams explained: “It’s a hybrid system, so the ground will be seeded all the way around and then, around six weeks into that, synthetic fibres are stitched into it, so that gives the grass added stability to ensure it can give more playing time.”

Atop this, the undersoil heating pipes are laid in rows to cover the entire playing area, before the lower and upper rootzones will be installed.

Finally, once all the various layers are installed, grass seeding can then take place.

Once seeding is complete, expected to be in early October, specialised machinery will then stitch synthetic fibres into the roots of the grass to strengthen them and provide a hard-wearing, hybrid SIS grass surface.

These fibres, covering around 5% of the playing surface, are designed to interlock with the growing grass to provide stability, strength and longevity.

And literally today:

Everton Stadium’s world-class playing surface is undergoing its final, dramatic transformation.

The synthetic stitching of millions of fibres into the newly-laid top soil is underway, using specialised machinery that will slowly work its way across the pitch.

That intensive process follows grass seeds recently being sown and covered, periodically, with a germination blanket to protect the seeds, allow light and water to penetrate and warm the soil to accelerate growth.

The hard-wearing synthetic fibres, which will cover around 5% of the pitch area, are designed to interlock with the growing grass to provide stability, strength and longevity to the hybrid, SIS grass surface

Yes....Finally, a cannon. Every time there is a sub due to poor performance, the player is loaded into the cannon and shot into the Mersey . Has anyone checked if Dyche can fit in it?
