New Everton Stadium

The "constant" though is finances...or lack of them. We have always struggled on that and Everton's position isn't vastly different now that Moshiri is here. Look at the changes made already to the architecture of the funding model. Moshiri cant and wont bridge that gap between cash found via investment and any shortfall. As an institution we must, because of our insipid commercail potential, be seen as a poor risk. Indebted to tv companies for payments in advance, potential debt to a local council to take care of. Lenders will continue to run a mile.

Nothing fundamental has changed I'm afraid. I wish it had, but it hasn't.

Hmmm, not sure I agree entirely. I know what you mean as financial concerns are always lurking but the schemes all had significant different issues also.

Kirkby golf course - not sure that was ever serious apart from a brochure being produced. Certainly finances were never tested as Johnson mis-managed the playing side so badly.
Kings Dock - I think the case to say we had the money is as strong as the case saying we hadn't. That ended up an incredibly insular and detrimental cat fight between two directors.
Destination Kirkby - We needed £78m and I think you're right on this, there was never any real evidence that we had it. That said, the scheme was fatally flawed by location and transport issues long before the show-us-your-money stage.
Walton Hall Park - we were nowhere near testing the funding model.

I don't think you can compare BMD to any of the above. This seems far more professional and thought out to me.

That maybe true, but i doubt very much he will want to be around if it does fail because there is no doubt glances will be in his direction to some extent. Also people keep saying about him not doing anything anymore and Moshiri being in charge, clearly he does do something otherwise he has no reason to be here unless he is just getting a massive freebie from the club, who knows, id like to see the club going about it's business without him lurking around in the background though.

I honestly just think he's the 'face' of the club now mate (no laughing at the back) rolled out tell us how much of a true blue lifelong Evertonian he is, his stories of being in the Boys' Pen at Goodison standing in piss etc.
