New Everton Stadium

The whole Usmanov at Arsenal thing proved he just went on hunches and not facts a lot of the time
Usmanov will never sell
Usmanov will sell to anyone except Kronke
He persisted with this for months and posted numerous articles on it and Usmanov would never get involved in Everton
He put his opinion out there , claimed it was fact and was proven totally wrong on all things Usmanov
I think it’s the fact that he wouldn’t hold his hands up and admit he got it totally wrong is what annoyed people
Not to mention how wrong he was every friday was with his friday caveats exclusives in the summer transfer window of 2017.

Also it wasn't just that he said we'd sign players we didn't but he never mentioned the players we did.

The issue I have with his analysis is that he estimates that it would cost an additional £80m to build 10,000 extra seats (which may or may not be accurate), and he kind of just waives away this additional cost by saying that Moshiri has to pay for it. Well fine, he can make any assumptions he likes, but if Moshiri really is happy to put in an additional £80m, why not apply that to both case studies, so that in the case of the 52,000 seat stadium, Everton has £80m less debt?

One factor people cite when championing a higher capacity is the increase in clubs average attendance after the new stadium has been built.

However this isn't the cash boon that's implied. West Ham are selling full price season tickets for £300 with massive reductions for over 65 and under 16 which are about £100 each. Sunderland similar prices.City have a few thousand empty seats every game. Leic3ster and Southampton just had tiny outdated stadia. Even most of United's games go on general sale. Well you get the gist.

There's a case for the higher capacity and the necessary price reduction purely as it means working class lads can start going again. But as a cash raising measure the 60k stadium will not be a goose that's going to lay any golden eggs.

I would say no maater what you think of the esks accuracy he is a very good writer, with exemplary clarity and concision.

Apart from the confusing phrase 'current precedent'.

So another year goes by and still no financing agreed.

Deffo going to be ready for 2022 though and if you don't agree you're a proper negative Nancy.
or it could be another year before another year is added to the other years that have ALREADY be added.

defo getting built tho.

its like the carrot that is dangling right infront of your moist lips is getting snatched away everytime your tounge wraps half around it...

the absolute snides

Watch this space.

Maybe we will have it sorted for next AGM.
dan meis said after the workshops last APRIL, that we would be seeing things in weeks, not months...

why build all our hopes up of seeing designs or plans etc etc when it was never going to happen

sums Everton up.
