Who is Kevin McCloud ?
Sorry I don’t understand a word of this
10000 standing places added to 52000 seats is 62000
What has that got to do with what other clubs are doing
Still none the wiser.
Given the number of stadiums recently built using pilings,as you say draining the dock might be all that's needed.Regards filling in the dock, do we even know it is to be filled in? Might it not be built astride a drained dock? Underground car park and other facilities below the stadium? Just thinking out loud here. Seems to be a lot of assumptions about what we are likely to get. I don't think anybody, other than a few people very close to the club, have a clue what we will be getting.
Think he played left mid for us about twice when I was 10.Who is Kevin McCloud ?
All the land between Water Street and the Pier Head is 'reclaimed' land. The natural water line was once upon a time at Water Street, hence the name. Everything that has been built along the waterfront was once water so reclaiming BMD should (relatively speaking) be such a problem?

Reading your post mate you seem to be well informed if you don't mind me asking how reliable is the information you post. They are in fact using the 3 graces as a precedent in the planning documents, as they were all built within existing docks.
As is most of the docks south of Kings Dock..eg.Brunswick, Herculaneum etcAll the land between Water Street and the Pier Head is 'reclaimed' land. When they did Herculaneum Dock it wasnt so much they filled it, but they dug out the whole area. I would imagine they would dig down and build a large retaining wall and rise up from thereRegards filling in the dock, do we even know it is to be filled in? I must just be stupidMy point was that if extra capacity comes from a rule change that all the clubs benefit from the same then we don't gain anything over our competitors as everyone receives the same gain, @Lanolin then pointed out that not all clubs will be able to gain from this change due to H&S and design restrictions at their stadiums.

No that was once a dock, they used that area for the car park in 84 and now there is a small housing area there. Are you sure that was for the dock area, and not the gardens?
