Sorry I don’t understand a word of this
10000 standing places added to 52000 seats is 62000
What has that got to do with what other clubs are doing

My point was that if extra capacity comes from a rule change that all the clubs benefit from the same then we don't gain anything over our competitors as everyone receives the same gain, @Lanolin then pointed out that not all clubs will be able to gain from this change due to H&S and design restrictions at their stadiums.

Regards filling in the dock, do we even know it is to be filled in? Might it not be built astride a drained dock? Underground car park and other facilities below the stadium? Just thinking out loud here. Seems to be a lot of assumptions about what we are likely to get. I don't think anybody, other than a few people very close to the club, have a clue what we will be getting.
Given the number of stadiums recently built using pilings,as you say draining the dock might be all that's needed.

All the land between Water Street and the Pier Head is 'reclaimed' land. The natural water line was once upon a time at Water Street, hence the name. Everything that has been built along the waterfront was once water so reclaiming BMD should (relatively speaking) be such a problem?

Indeed. I don't think it would be a huge problem. It's just that they may not want to for reasons of design etc

They are in fact using the 3 graces as a precedent in the planning documents, as they were all built within existing docks.

As is most of the docks south of Kings Dock..eg.Brunswick, Herculaneum etc

When they did Herculaneum Dock it wasnt so much they filled it, but they dug out the whole area. I would imagine they would dig down and build a large retaining wall and rise up from there

The Stade Louis II stadium is built on top of a car park. The playing surfaces suffers massively due to this.

From Wiki: The vast majority of the stadium's facilities are located underground, with a large car park directly under the pitch (something that has caused some degree of criticism from managers of AS Monaco's opponents in the past over the state of the pitch).

Suppose Monaco don't have much option when land is mega expensive in Monaco.

I must just be stupid
If we have 62000 and not 52000 we get more income
Regardless of what any other club or H&S policy says
I am not disagreeing I just do not understand your point
