We're also, conveniently, quite close to a major UK city where, and this is a stroke of amazing luck, there are carparks AND you can walk in from them. What incredible fortune.

Is a park and walk not just a car park?

Yeah, but it's one laid on by the club in a convenient place which is of reasonable distance from the ground

Looks like the top level of the car park will be at ground level and the rest lower into the ground

Not all the parking, just some of it, so that if you don't mind a bit of a walk you could pay a cheaper price to leave your car somewhere safe and then walk in

Just me who severely dislikes that? It's basic, doesn't look like anything special, doesn't blend in with the surrounding dock, same height all the way around, and nothing different to any other stadium. Thought we'd see something completely different like the Lucas Oil Stadium or the U.S Bank Stadium

Something to note is how much they would have to change to make the safe standing area compliant with regs. You would think why don't they just make it ready in the first place but you can see how dramatically it alters the shape to get it to down to 25 degrees. Doesn't look great.

So it looks like over time they are hoping that this changes allowing the 32 degrees that they show in the middle diagram. Therefore we can expect it to look like the all seater variant to start with.

I have seen the sign for one near Goodison and it always makes me chuckle that it's like someone has thought of a revolutionary idea of a 'Park and Walk'. Easily amusedlol

Good to see some plans at last, the image of the outside I think has been knocking around for a while. Looks pretty good to me but will wait until final renderings are out.

No I just mean surely they’d build a giant carpark next to it? Or at least within a few minutes of the ground - I thought that would be part and parcel of building a venue.

Wish they would dump the single tier home end too. Just looks a bit desperate. Whatever the eventual design it will be neither as big nor impressive as the spurs version and will lack 'soul' compared with the red and yellow ones it is aping

Given how much hot air our 'starchitect' has put out about the stadium you'd hope he could come up with unique to us

The home end is significantly steeper than the Spurs one, which tbh matters every bit as much as capacity of the stand. It's actually steeper and closer to the pitch than the "yellow wall" too

Yes, it's being done on the cheap.

That's why we've bought one of the most expensive bits of land in the city, that's also the most difficult and expensive to build on.
