I read Meis quoted somewhere saying less is more with regards to the capacity,
However when in the early stages, he was gushing about 61878 capacity, bet its 55000,and that would be just fine for me,
Have you tried a laxative Bilko.Ffs how long does it take to design a stadium, sit down, draw the flaming thing and show it. Actually sick of it now, is it two years and nothing solid.
I think the stadium will be built, but it will it be an average sized, average stadium.
You know i respect you mate, but i really hope this stadium gets built to watch you backtrack like a pro....it will be worth it lolNot happening. More balls being kicked into the long grass. If there's one thing you can rely on the donkeys who own this club it's that they are world class at drawing out and then dropping a stadium scheme. Four in the last 23 years.
I think anything above 50k would be a decent sized stadium. Thats not average by any means. Plus, the "average" stadium must make us feel good about ourselves. But in my opinion, whats important are the Facilities. Cashless tills and chip enabled brewy stand are the minimum we must expect. An easily accessible store and ample parking with optional public transport. Plus added community programs and disability access. As long as this is taken care of, I wouldnt care how it looks. I would want the stadium to win laurels on what they do to the community and help the disadvantaged. Thats the way you attract the next generation of fans. Because if they are being priced out or dont feel the connect, they would rather stay at home and subscribe to sky instead of testing their vocal chords weekin weekout.
It's 2019, there should be ample public transport with optional limited parking. Town is 1 stop/20 mins walk away.
I hope so too mate. I would love to be wrong. You know i respect you mate, but i really hope this stadium gets built to watch you backtrack like a pro....it will be worth it lol
...well into 2020, if at all.A stadium development is a bluffers paradise.
What surprises me most of all in recent times regarding this is the stonewall silence of Keith Harris, in theory the club's lead on this, an individual not otherwise known of being short of something to say.
Since a PP application isn't dependent on proof of funding, I imagine we will get the designs and PP will be submitted by year-end or afterwards.
There can be endless further rounds of consultations whilst the clear barrier to this - MONEY - hasn't been secured.
I accept the complexity of this project above others but surely it has been analysed to death by an array of specialists across all fields by now.
It's hard cash that is required to get this started let alone finished. Everything else, consultations included, are just trying to keep hopes and dreams alive in the absence of that cash.
