New Everton Stadium

Need more of these videos I think...

Please tell me that video was not been done by the club.

I mean to say its titled 'Everton Football Club 2011 New Stadium promotional video' and has all sorts of shots pushing the Kirkby Stadium.

But that fiasco was binned on 25 November 2009!

Grand we'll move in for the 2022/23 season for free then so if it happens. Sorted. The fume from the RS will be epic.

If there was a shiny new stadium in Liverpool, we would not get it, the other lot would. Our option would be to play our games in the same stadium, which would be red and white with a giant gold Liver bird on it and pay them rent. no thanks.

@bourneblue ....you really need to take your head out of Kenwright's backside mate

Zabeel Investmentof Dubai (ruler family) was negotiating in 2008, just during the collapse of the
economy worldwide, to take over the UK Everton football club for GBP200m andwas willing to cover the club debt of GBP52m and to build a new stadium forGBP78m

Would be the 23/24 season at the earliest, Games take place in July/August. Would be a hell of job to get it changed from a media center / Athletics track to a football stadium. Just look at how long it's took to get the Olympic stadium ready for West Ham.

Olympic stadium was never designed with football in mind. Wouldnt cost loads if us taking over as permanent tenents was incorporated into the early design.

Won't happen mind, but we can dream

Ha ha. They're already committed to full steam ahead with their redevelopment though so unlucky for them if we got a free stadium

Any concrete evidence of those mega rich people making offers to buy the club ?The money those people have wouldn't see them baulk at paying the asking price, just look at the money city have spunked on players. Don't give me any NDA rubbish, as if that was the case you'd know nothing too.

I've been hearing this nonsense for years now without a single shred of evidence to back it up when asked. NDA ? (nothing doing again)

A Goodison re-build is practically and financially impossible according to the 'experts'

I'm boring myself now.... but the experts say completely the opposite about whether it is practical. The most recent one being Trevor Skempton (who was responsible for the St James Park rebuild).

Regarding the "financially impossible"... well thats a different question. A staged approach re-development is cheaper and more affordable than a new build. But the board can't afford either.

Not really the Tories need votes in the Merseyside area, how better to gain some ground than offering a new ground giving jobs etc
No chance mate, the Tories know they will never be voted in for Liverpool and quite frankly, now labour has lost its Scottish support, it would make no difference even if they did win Liverpool. party politics in this country is screwed now that Labour and Lib-dem support has vanished! Knowing our luck, any new stadium would be given to LFC, who would then be paid a rent by the council to stay there , all on-costs would be funded by the lottery and by making cuts in the NHS and we would be offered the Pit as a compensation after having a compulsory purchase order placed on Goodison to pay for more natural looking front teeth for Rogers!

Don't agree any thing that they can do to lose labour voters in North West they will want to do. Just see it now look at what the tories are doing in Liverpool and what labour never did.
