New Everton Stadium

I want 60k. I assume the price range in the tickets will increase. So still cheap behind the goals but the equivalent seat to mine in the Upper Bullens will go up a lot
Ticket prices across the board will increase over time, that’s to be expected.

The very genuine fear is that if BMD is only built to 52,000, those prices increase are likely to happen sooner and more steeply than if it were built to 60,000 with sufficient ‘premium priced’ corporate/hospitality seating enabling price raises to be more introduced more steadily.

I think that is correct. Our prices are low at the moment, as we have so many obscured views. A lot of seats have pillars in front of them but are not counted as obscured, or the roof obscures a large part of the pitch. I am amazed we continually sell these seats, I don't know if I would sit in them regularly. I have a great view and think my seat is great value. I expect to pay more at BMD

I have a great spec in the Top Balc. I'll be very surprised if the view I'd get for the same money is as good. I'm expecting a hike of £150. As I said, I'll be willing to pay that much more for a much better stadium with 21st century facilities. Sounds as if a few of us are on board with this.

While there will be an overall uplift in the quality of seats and views in general we will be leaving behind some of the best viewing platforms in world football. With the caveat of being away from the posts obviously, the Top Balc and UG/UB will be missed. Best spec I've ever had was at the U23 cup final back in May.

Some overlapping tiers at BMD (obviously not to the extent we have now) would be the biggest nod to Goodison there can be.

Top Balc steepest stand in England, I believe. Would no longer be allowed.

Agreed, decent bar, reasonably priced. TV with other games on. I will happily be there before and after the game. This is the way ahead. A whole day experience

I know Tottenham fans now who never used WHL for anything apart from watching the game who now spend an hour or 2 before and after every match eating and drinking on the concourses of the new stadium.

They said the quality if the food is excellent, restaurant standard, the range available is brilliant and the service of both food and drink really efficient and quick. They have bands on playing music and said the concourses are full every week before and after the game.

A real game changer would be designing the space, facilities, link to the rest of the city so well that people want to go to the stadiums on non match days. Imagine fans gathering to there to watch away games/other football matches/ sporting events, or if it became the kind of place you might head to for a pint by the river on a Friday night even if no football is on.

That should be the aim, trying to maximise income from the stadium all year round. The location gives us an opportunity to do that in a way that Goodison or Anfield can’t but as ever it’s about someone at Everton being ambitious enough to go for something so good that people want to go there.

A problem with BMD, apart from it's northern neighbour, is that the footprint will not allow for the development of concourses like NWHL or even Wembley. Pre- and post-match entertainment for significant numbers will be housed off site in other facilities and whether the club will derive any benefit from these is open to debate. Currently, if funds can be found, I see a 52k BMD giving an initial commercial boost but longer term the laughable commercial side of the club needs to increase it's revenue stream many times over and being marooned at the end of a building site next to a sewerage plant will not help this until at least some neighbours appear.

If the concourse is good enough - I'd go to watch the aways.

When the projects on the other docks get going (which I think they will once we obtain planning permission) It'll be a booming area and I think that's what the club is hoping = utilise the stadium most days.

The cafe/restaurant/coffee shop/sports bar will attract the crowd all round the year if you ask me.

Not many clubs have sea facing eating options with seating and standing tables and an timeless view into infinity sea.

That’s my biggest worry, I have no confidence in us being able to capitalise and make the most of the opportunity.
