New Everton Stadium

So you would be happy to see the club playing in a cowshed (because that’s what it will be for 100-150m) and pay of a cowshed debt till 2028? How about we find new owners who know how to successfully deliver infrastructure projects and can deliver a new ground that the team will be proud to play in and be watched by the fans for the next 100 years.

or should we just play it cheap and help the owners to increase their shareholder value and allow them to disappear into the horizon once they have sold us off and left us to play a no mark flat pack ground.
The idea is they'll sell of the club with planning permission for a new ground and leavw the new owners to fund it

So the rumors of the new stadium haven't caused you to repurchase a season ticket on their own? So the scheme doesn't work.

I think @bicycleheader was saying that it's silly to think this works because no one re-buys a season ticket on a rumor of a new stadium. Now if we get a new stadium and you repurchase, fair dos, but that still means that the conspiracy of talking up a new stadium to get people to renew season tickets is a fallacy. People don't renew season tickets because of rumors that maybe, somehow, someday, somewhere we may get a new stadium.

In fact, I'm pretty sure most of us expect to be a Goodison until the government shutters the place for being unsafe. But we live in hope.

Goodison is no where near being unsafe, that was just scaremongering by kenwright and his cronies to try and get people to support a move

Your right, the rumours haven't made me go out and buy one,if plans do emerge next week I still won't buy one.
Like I've said I stopped my ST because of the lack of ambition from the board even though we was doing ok on the pitch.
The fact that RM brand of football had me seriously reconsidering my stance is a testament to the man.
It's nothing to do with a rumour of a new stadium.
Let's face it and if the rumours are true of a new ground with a rumoured 50000 capacity and with the expected continued success on the field, I can if I want to bite the bullet and buy one safe in the knowledge there won't be a waiting list

Stopped my ST 2 seasons ago, said I wouldn't renew unless BK and his cronies moved on.
Pick and choose games now,but was seriously tempted to renew after watching RM revolution.
Think ongoing success and a new stadium may twist my arm again......we shall see.
Won't be completely happy until BK goes though

I totally understand all the comments re- previous efforts of the ground moves, for me things are a little bit different this time..... in the last two years we are showing clear evidence of out growing GP, the corporate is consistently sold out, sell out games, off the field interest inspirational with community programmes, match day experiences, overseas fan base increasing and then we get onto the playing side

we have a manager who will be one of the very best and sought after
we have potentially the best young midfielder- Barks
we have potentially the best young CH - Stones
we have the two best premier league full backs
we have Mc Carthy - value will be immense
and we have very good prospects coming though....

then we have the sky money, the money we can achieve through possible CL

All aside, the future is very good for EFC and if we continue in this direction, we will attract investor, we have the possibility to stadium naming rights and other major revue streams

back to BK, i completely agree about mis management BUT he is advised by so called professionals, architects, accountants, you name it .... but yes he is responsible but i really beleive next they will get it right

the two main decisions that BK had total control of , for me he got right - David Moyes and Bobby.....

we have to move in the next 5 years or we hare finished as a force, the way the new money deals are structured really means we will get left behind ...COYB

Imagine Clarence Docks, with all the Passenger Lliners coming in now and i the future. Its prime land. A major part of the Mersey Gateway. Give it its own Ferry Dock, have the daytrippers parking at the Albert Dock, jumping on a special ferry and Ferry up the Royal blue Mersey, from Liver buildings to Evertons new home. It'd be a major part of photos taken of the Liverpool skyline, and will massively increase exposure.

Could potentially strangle Liverpool's tourist revenue (which is probably why nothing that good will happen for us). Our exposure would be massive if we were city centre based. Sadly i always get the feeling that a super auccessful Liverpool is always preferred by the powers that be than if bith teams are mildly successful. If our stadium detracts from Liverpool's pilgrimage site in Walton to the point where LFC are getting negatively affected then I cant see it happening.

It does raise an interesting point though that with Liverpool staying at Anfield there is a serious opportunity to steal a march ovr them ling term with the right stadium in the right place.

"Stadium location and securing funding are critical to the Everton project. Whilst rumours and opinion abound about the potential location, staying within the city is a must; our Chairman Bill Kenwright favours Walton Hall Park."

Walton Hall Park would be good. Only down the road and loads of room.... Watch this space...

Wally Hall Park must be the location close to Goodison Kenwright was getting excited about and the council must have given the nod to discuss it further - you can see the outline of a deal- we move into WHP and GP becomes a park in return - a sort of extension to Stanley Park. So no major loss of public park space for Walton community.

The club has to find funding from somewhere of course...

Indeed the devil in the details, I mean you could live in a hole in the ground with a tauplain over the top and call it a house....
