New Everton Stadium

Having slept on it and utilised the start of a welcome day off re examining the renderings particularly the excellent bbc video, I have concluded it actually exceeds my expectations.
Externally, I think the brickwork perfectly complements the area and helps give a sense of solidity and , coupled with the breathtaking roof , induces a cathedral like atmosphere.
The fanzone area is stunning with a capacity to hold 14,000 and the ability to stage non football events it will surely contribute significantly to the clubs revenue over the years.
Internally it is stunning. It certainly delivers that intimacy we all desired, in fact it looks like it could outdo Goodison in intimidating the opposition. While inevitably it does have a superficial ‘bowl like’ look ,this is overcome by having enough difference between the stands to make each side unique and the style of the corner stands completes the effect. The home end is spectacular.
Internally that roof delivers, it has the ability to appear substantial while also allowing so much light in as to appear almost ethereal.
All this coupled with the setting and how the build resides in it brings me to the conclusion that this design will be a major success, well done Mr. Meis.
I now hope my firm touches for some of the upcoming work if only because it’s nice to have a local site once in a while.:)

An ITK on Twitter, has leaked some exclusive images.

25 years ago I was asked to draw what the Prime Minister would look like in 2019.

Look at me, I'm super relevant!

That fly through pod made me feel dizzy.

Interesting to see at the end of it they have the glass so that the executive suite fans can watch the players in the tunnel. I guess they'd then have to leg up to their seat. You'd have have to decide between seeing them in the tunnel or being in the ground as they come out.

If you have paid hundreds to see them in the tunnel/press room, I expect it isn't a choice at all. Else they could have bought a standard ticket and had a McDonalds for £55. :)

I doubt the entrance to their seats is too far away and with so few people it won't take long.

I love it. I'm 42 years of age. I hope to live to see the team walk out at the ground and I hope everyone on this forum will be there, proud and with goose bumps the first time we see our club play there.

Welcome to Bramley Moore, the home of the champions. Todays team, in goal, Premier league champion and European championship winner Jordan Pickford, number 2, Daniel Alves Junior, Number 3, Lucas Digne, Number 4, Pele Junior the second, Number 5 celebrating his Ballon Dor Michael Keane...…...

Oh Davey, no one there has talked about a stadium-led recovery, nor are their hopes pinned to that. Its merely something you invented in your own mind, as you cant fathom the team can do well financially, and you are your lone authority.
Ha Ha Ha.

...."no one talked about a stadium led recovery"....except the club's Chief Finance officer responsible for generating revenue:

The stadium is paramount for our long-term success as a football club,” asserts Sasha Ryazantsev, Everton’s chief finance and commercial officer, tells SportsPro. “We love our spiritual home of Goodison Park, but we have been there for more than 125 years now and it is clearly the one factor that we need to do something about if we are to bridge the gap to the top six. The new stadium will give us more general admission seats and more hospitality, and it will also attract better partnership deals and enhance commercial revenues.....matchday revenues are clear differentiating factors that could take us to a new level.”

...oh, and the current CEO DBB:

"Revenues have increased and clubs are huge, complex organisations, particularly at the top end of the Premier League, so to be competitive we must continue to grow and evolve. The key to us being able to achieve this is to continue to maximise our potential income through growing our partnerships portfolio and grasp the opportunity to move to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. Both, in turn, will support our ambitions on the pitch."

...oh, and her predecessor, Elstone:

"There are football clubs out there that are facility led. The Emirates is a good example of a facility that is generating a lot of cash. Old Trafford makes a phenomenal amount of money on a match-day and we have an opportunity now to try and close that gap."

...so just them then.

Lol.

Just look at the size of the concourses in the warehouse style buildings. Can't wait to see pictures that show what it will be like for the everyday punter. Let's hope there is a bar that runs the entire width of that home end and after buying your pint you step out onto the balcony section on a warm, sunny Saturday in May looking back at the three graces. We'll know we have made it when that happens.

Said this earlier too mate. One of my dreams is to not be cramped and only have 5 mins to neck a pint at HT.

I think it looks fantastic and a dream come true - I was always concerned about the concourses behind the goals though, especially the home end - 13 k fans and it looks quite limited for space.

I'm sure this will all be revealed to be fine though.

Commercial revenue from the stadium will be key. I hope they have large bars in each stand that attract fans from 12 for a 3pm kick off. I had suggested bars that could be accessed from outside the stadium like Shearer's at St James Park. Non-football income will also be key. Concerts in the stadium and in the fan park! All ££££ that can go to Cuco Martina's 10 year deal that he is about to sign! :pint2:
