It’s absolutely stunning. The old style industrial red brick elevations, the shiny steel roof and the shapes are so much better then the leaked images indicated.

What I don’t get is the hatred for the word EVERTON overlooking the redeveloped docklands. People prefer it to be replaced by some sponsors logo. Are you people mentally ill?

For me it its the font I've never liked and the fact that it doesn't say FC after.

On transport - have they mentioned anything about secure bike locking areas? Liverpool as a city is hopefully going to be increasing its bike capacity so hopefully the club will ensure there’s ample space

If they do allow safe standing, won't it only be to a ratio of 1-1? The attendance will stay exactly the same at 52k

With safe standing the ratio is approx 1:1.8 or 1:1.9 for example in Hannover 5700 fans can fit in a safe-standing area fitted with 3000 rail seats.

There is no support for those ratios in UK at moment. Police strongly opposed. If/when safe standing is introduced it will be 1:1 initially. If it goes well it might then be eased up to e.g. 1.3:1 but post Hillsborough police & politicians are understandably incredibly cautious on all this. I had a chance to speak to a couple of prominent and supportive Labour dignitaries on this a few months ago and they were very clear on what to hope for/expect.

To be fair mate, the real thing, in its flesh would be unreal, however, I don’t think this will ever be built.

It’s not the money, it’s not the dodgy patio sand in the dock...it’s them. Them across the park.

If Everton build this, as a top level footballer, who would you rather play for in the city?

And therein lies the rub. I don’t think this is completely about a new stadium. This is about reversing 30 years of rivalry, and desperate people do desperate things.

It’s going to take a whole load of Uzbeki money to do this.

With the right attitude, it is do-able, look at where Man City came from to outshine Man UTD, in terms of parity of honours, or finances they still aren't there yet, but ask a player who he would rather play for....
