Would liverpool fans living nearby really object to us knocking down our stadium and moving away? I cant see the logic in that to be honest. I could see people who run matchday businesses from around the ground objecting. But if I lived next to Anfield and they said they were going to knock it down and clear off, I would probably lend a hand

Nah, I just remember they said the decision will take around 16 weeks, we’re now heading towards 18 weeks since we submitted the application.

I need a little help understanding as I'm not from Liverpool. How big of a deal is this development including our new ground to the city right now? In these tough times & job uncertainties, can the City afford not to do it? Do we have thier metaphoric balls in our hands & even get away with a few things because we know we can? Morally it's wrong of course but i just wondered really. I read comments on here like "It should sail through planning now" etc etc. Obviously i get out lying planning has already been submitted but is there anything to gain other than planning permission from a clubs perspective in this situation without taking the pee.

I don't think theres any doubt that it won't go through planning permission, there may be issues raised with things where not aware of etc, but cant see it be turned down at all

The city is desperate for investment mate, especially the North of the city. The city is awash with stalled and failed schemes from dodgy developers.

They'll be all over this and have been on board since day one. They seemed to have had everything lined up before submitting a planning app with consultations. The consultations aimed at ensuring everyone has had an opportunity to have their say before planning.
