New Everton Stadium

Got a bad feeling they'll be dragging this through opposition and reviews for another good few months yet.

The Government will be all for the plans in light of the pandemic but no chance of PP being granted now in October - more likely December at the earliest.

12 months on from submission is a joke and the club should be hammering LCC/Unesco/Heritage England over such a hold up.
So you know more than Chong or are you just being you ?Why are you so negative ?

Think the global pandemic might be a expected delay which I don't think anyone controls mate

bumps in the road ahead, although it's nothing new given unesco's viewpoint of the entire Peel Waters project. Wouldn't surprise me if the Govt reject the planning application and we have to appeal though the courts. Everton that

like I said, MONTHS AGO, this was always going to be the back end of the year due to the consultations with stakeholders. Nothing to do with LCC taking there time at all

I havent a problem with that but dont consistently give dates then constantly delay it and kick the can down the road as you cant keep to the timescale.

If you do that to your boss in work you'll be called incompetent.

The design has changed again:

Looks much better with the steps

Disappointing but probably to be expected that Heritage England has submitted objections, heritage bodies are generally inflexible in my experience. IMO this dock in itself is not remarkable in any way, but it seems they are taking the view that it is an essential element of the wider dock system in line with the WHS designation. The Council still has the right to determine the application and weigh the cost/benefits of losing the dock, but there is always the risk of a call-in. Given this government's overall approach to dismantling planning rules, I am still hopeful that the Secretary of State will not call this in.

Colour me surprised.

The delay is disappointing but it all seems to be moving forward.

Not from the Email - the club sound very cautious and if you read my posts on here I've been very confident that this thing will go through and still do.

But the constant changing of dates for me smacks of LCC and stakeholders taking the mick out of the club.

Opposition should have come forward months ago not 2-3 months before a PP deadline.
