At times I think that some on LCC don't want to make a determination & want it to be called in and rejected by Jenrick. What pee's me off is financially it will help the city massively but the council seen more arsed dealing with crap like zip wires in the city.
FFS this is gonna create thousands of jobs and redevelop a barren area of the city in decline - as I say if the glory hunters were doing this they would be falling over themselves to grant it.
Wouldn't be shocked whatsoever to find out those involved in the planning committee of the council are largely RS happy to delay it as long as possible.
Either that or they are massively incompetent.

Don’t hold your breath with the echo. It’s no longer fit for purpose.Where is the Echo pressing for information?!
We want to know what the hell is going on. The whole city does!
Too busy doing not one, not two but 3 stories on their social media about a homeless guy getting his jaw kicked in on Dale Street the other nightWhere is the Echo pressing for information?!

I think it was always going to be a bit of stretch to get planning permission this year. The latest consultation only finished on the 22nd of October. The latest amendment to planning was quite extensive and further tweaks may well be required depending on how the consultation went.
Even if the application does get looked at this year it was always likely to need a special planning meeting being arranged given the size of the project. It will be much better to get as detail in to the amendment to give us the best chance of getting through planning.
