New Everton Stadium

not at all, it needs to be iconic in as many ways as possible
Why? Everyone seems to be getting so hung up on this image/iconic business. GP is only iconic now as the new stadia crop up and the old girl looks like a quaint relic. I very much doubt when it was built the word 'iconic' was at the forefront.

Lets just build a good looking, recognisable, functional, well equipped and appointed stadium with good access, good boozing and good corporate boxes. The rest is sentimental tosh.

Probably mentioned already but Juve's stadium only holds 41k. A well designed 50k stadium would be great, not a huge need for more. The majority of revenue will come from TV deals so it's better to have a full and bouncing well designed stadium as opposed to something bigger that's rarely full. Doubt City are too thrilled with the Emptyhad nick name.

The word "Iconic" has lost something of its actual definition, I agree.

Your requirements are actually what we want.

I agree to a point. However I don't want some soulless bowl like the stadium of wind, or a 4 stand Britannia on steroids.

It needs to be something that is befitting of a club of our stature and heritage. It therefore needs to have a nod to the past whilst being something that is genuinely cutting edge - same as the 3 tier main stand was in the 70's

That's what you can do for £100m

You cannot truly design in "iconic", that status comes from how people respond to it over time, so all you can do is focus on quality and some individuality. Build a top quality UEFA category 5 stadium with a couple of clearly 'unique' design elements and then cross your fingers it doesn't turn out to be seen as just another me-too-bowl or super-shed when built.
