We should send Richard Kemp down to investigate....with magnetic boots on..These were working docks for decades after WW2. The dock basins have probably all been inspected and dredged several times.
Its amazing how all those world class architects and structural engineers never thought of thisLet's say the dock is about 30 feet deep, I do not understand why they did not get the most out of this space by using it for vehicle parking? It would have been hell of a lot cheaper to do this, they could have engineered it so the stadium could have gone on top. Just seems like a waste of a space that could have solved parking problems and worked out cheaper. They could still have protected the walls? Filling it in to me is just one great expense.
Not much chance of shifting all that water with spades mate.Just start digging and get the thing started ffs, they have offers on at B&Q for spades come on Bill lad get it sorted
Can't understand why no Architects / Engineers didn't have the foresight of putting giant plugs in these silly dock things, pfht !Not much chance of shifting all that water with spades mate.
The main thing is the car park is not the original multistory structure on the actual bank, blocking the view from the ground and the view of the ground from the river. That would've been awful yet somehow very Everton.
