New Everton Stadium

I thought it was for the tv cameras to not be glared by the sun.
I don't think tv cameras were given much consideration in the 19th century.

I have read the original reason was so that the directors in the main stand would be sheltered from the prevailing wind which comes from the west. The only exception in England was Chester where the main stand is on the East side because it is on the border with Wales.

Wonder if they could redevelop the Stadio Olimpico?

Would be preferable
it must be too big for them, their new ground was going to have far smaller capacity.Last time we were in Rome 2016 they were handing out tickets for their game against Real for free in the city. I think there was a boycott with the fans over something - but just seemed mad free tickets for a game like that.

Yes.... with 2 tiers at one end in the last design revision I think. That's why I asked if that would've been preferred, as in that respect it was more reflective of GP. Mysteriously, about half the cost too.

I have zero knowledge about where this roma project was based on landwise, but I imaigne a considerable amount of ours is going towards the extra factors of dock filling etc.
