New Everton Stadium

Technically, the council were correct in their response. I am pretty sure that a court would agree if the facts as presented in that FOI request were presented.

The council did not spend a penny on planning on building a stadium on the park.

The council admits it did spend £24k on planning a mixed use regeneration on the park.

Note that I do not support or even like Joe Anderson or LCC. Quite the opposite.

However, being familiar with the law - there is no way you could say they have misreprented anything.

People trying to say they are are just looking at things through a prism of their own making.

I take the view if you are going to have a go at the council or anyone - do it for the right reasons. Or you risk the boy who cried wolf syndrome.

I was highlighting the content, not in need of educating on council machinations, I know full well how it works.

It was mainly directed at potential readers rather than youself specifically. Seeing as you are so versed in Machiavelli type behaviours.

Moshi and his team should be lobbying hard for a derelict warehouse site in the docks north of the city centre - the area Peel bought years ago but haven't touched since. That'd be a prime location, right next to the city centre and derelict enough to build a huge site. That's where I want construction of the Mosh Pit to commence.

I would hope this is at least being considered. If we move from Goodison then we need to be as close to the city centre as possible.

With the manager being replaced, we would all hope that a list has been drawn up of the highest quality replacements which we work our way through, starting with no.1.

We should be doing the same with the new ground not immediately settling for somewhere like Stonebridge Cross which would could be the death of EFC (perhaps a bit of an exaggeration). Might as well of moved to Kirkby if we go there.

I think it is crucial for us to have a stadium as close to the city centre as possible. Like it or not, we have a very high profile neighbour, so we should do anything and everything to make ourselves more relevant and visible in the city, both to locals and visitors. It'd be great to have a very central stadium while the RS are hidden away in their terrace-enclosed backwater.

I see Labour's Joe Anderson has won a second term as Mayor of Liverpool. Is this likely to have any affect on announcements regarding WHP?

doubt it, unless the council has given us a timeframe to have things put in place, i think it will drag on until we either pull the plug or say we are going ahead with it.

Something needs to happen and quick. Just been up around Stanley Park and the new RS stand is a monster. We're living in a big enough shadow as it so could do with something positive about the new Goodison Park. WHP option doesn't inspire I'm afraid.
