New Everton Stadium

Get real mate. Why else would banks be loaning money to Everton, because Kenwright is there and offering his theatre companies as collateral?

And please dont mention Moshiri - he's just Usmanov's proxy.

So evidence mate to back up your stance then ? Nothing changes

A billionaire accountant is just a proxy after sinking £100m of his own money does not have his own financial contacts ?

And I need to get real ?

Hopefully, Moshiri realises that his investment in Everton has (sadly for him) gone south and accepts that selling up and taking whatever he can get is his best/only course of action.
His problem is the value of the club will likely have/will drop like a stone, so he may have to resign himself to a very, very low return - but, 10p on the pound is better than zero.
He'll be or should be contacting the financial institutions with avenues to the groups interested in owning/running PL clubs... and as I've said repeatedly, I can see that happening, hopefully in time for next season, these things take time... but, that's a commodity that Moshiri might be short of given the sanctions that he'll be dealing with indirectly with USM/Usmanov.
There's absolutely no way Moshiri will be selling Usmanov's asset for a fraction of what he paid for those shares.

We'll be stuck with owners who'll be unwilling to back the club with any cash and who'll mothball the dock stadium project. No investor that can help us push on is giving this club a second glance.

We are going to be a zombie club.

We'll see Dave, we'll see.

Please list these options. You stated they are there, so....
To list them would be a mistake for anyone that was involved in them. I choose to believe that there are options. You choose to believe anything that can be negative about Everton FC.
You are the "Jimmy Hill" of this forum. You lull us in and create conflict.
And I never believe a word you type.
Just eat your pie ffs.

I didn't say that.

No but he was never underwriting it either, he may have gotten us through the door with a Russian bank fair play but that isn't going to fly anymore. I'll say it again until I'm blue in the face, we didn't want to take up the council's offer because of the negative connotations with billionaire owners but we can still access that as a last resort for cheaper rates than we could get else where. What's the problem?

Andy, I get the feeling you think this is a good day.

It isn't. It's a disaster.

Why would the owner sell the club cos a sponsor or 2 are in a pickle?

As for being unable to fund the club re transfers etc, that car crash happened way before anyone invaded anything.

Its a classic case of a black swan. Once the washing is finished, we see what state we are actually in. Think Tesco when they had a rogue accounting proceedure.

The fundementals of the club have not changed. The attraction of funding the stadium have not changed. They may already been sorted, (think they have personally), but that is just me experience of commercial property stuff.

I may well be wrong. But Everton at 10.00 am today are essentially in a similar situation now. Just need a few new sponsors.

Please tell me you've typed that in error?

Why do you think any bank would have handed £600M to this club? And how do you expect Everton to attract those loans now that links have been severed with Usmanov? You know Moshiri and Usmanov are indivisible.

I'm all for believing we;ll be ok, but the smart money here is on this: a war has broken out in Ukraine, and in terms of sporting impact Everton will be the main casualty of it.

You're all worst case scenarios though. It's like saying Everton are getting relegated and Liverpool are going to win the quadruple.

I still think the stadium will go ahead but regardless now we've go the right manager relegation is not going to happen. The PL money is only going up so Everton can always borrow against that if we don't get Usmanov and his cash back.
