Yes Dave, I do.That's not my point. My point is that some believe (you included) we can get investment that can cushion the blow of his departure from the scene.
Ask Boys Pen Billy it will be ringfenced with the the Kings Dock money ??.If the royal hospital can get called off then a football stadium can, let's just hope and pray that the money has been "ring fenced" somewhere.
No but he was never underwriting it either, he may have gotten us through the door with a Russian bank fair play but that isn't going to fly anymore. I'll say it again until I'm blue in the face, we didn't want to take up the council's offer because of the negative connotations with billionaire owners but we can still access that as a last resort for cheaper rates than we could get else where. What's the problem?

Money and where it originated unfortunately, then it was " scaled" down, the result was the death trap that isn't even remotely near completion.Have you any idea why the Royal was delayed?
If the stadium goes the same way as the Royal, I wouldn't be stepping foot in it after its completed. I value my life.
The Public Works loan board doesn't even exist any more, it has become part of the Treasury. The biggest problem though is that it would have been the council who would have had to borrow the money. That may have been possible with Anderson running the council. However, with Government commissioners now running the council. The chances of them handing over £400-500m to a private company are nil.The issue with using the Public works loan board, which is the funding that the SPV was built to access, is it is no longer available at the attractive rates that were originally available.
They won't be returning to this arrangement.
They also won't be cancelling the stadium build because some fella has had his pocket money taken off him.
The Royal is nearing completion, finally.Money and where it originated unfortunately, then it was " scaled" down, the result was the death trap that isn't even remotely near completion.
But ye a football stadium with unsavory sponsors and funding could easily get pulled. It's the only shining light for us atm at the end of a very long dark tunnel.
The company building it went under because they were hoovering up public sector work by putting in ridiculously low tenders.Have you any idea why the Royal was delayed?

It's been nearing completion for quite a while now mate. The Royal is nearing completion, finally.
Also, the stadium had no sponsors, unsavoury or not, and we also don't know what the financial arrangements are, but it is unlikely to be a single investor/owner/group.
