New Everton Stadium

A shame yes but not sure that stadium would have been much better than the reebok stadium or the stadium of light in todays view
The Kings Dock stadium was marginally bigger than BMD, had a closing roof and may have even had a moving pitch in the outline plans. It was far superior than the other stadia mentioned and was right at the centre of the city and designed the worlds largest stadiym design company.

As I say it all depends on how much the loan per year costs even if the stadium ends up costing us 5 million a year - which I doubt as I think with the extra general sponsorship, non match day income before we get to having 14000 more boots on the ground, buying drinks etc. - it would be worth it.

Yes, it would be hoped that increased capacity will increase matchday income but it is not a given, nor always proportionate. Despite adding 20-25k capacity (70+% increase), West Ham barely increased matchday income at all when they moved to the London Stadium and indeed it even dropped the following season. They had to dramatically reduce average ticket prices to get close to filling it..... I think Man City did also. Of course they could afford to do that as the stadium cost them next to nothing. Adding just 14k for us, plus new stadium effect might not test our price elasticity of demand as severely as it did them, but it might not be as lucrative as we think. According to planning apication our waiting list was stated as 11k for 8k separate new applicants. Arsenal and Spurs both had vast new corporate capacity to exploit and larger waiting lists. In Arsenal's case tthe corporate tier and boxes was worth more than Highbury's entire matchday income on its own..... by comparison our 20-22 boxes and few thousand corporate (lite) might not create such a seismic increase. If that's the case the profitability equation might not balance so easily without that naming rights injection, which I believe was valued of the order of £100m+. Without knowing the duration and interest rate and all projected income figures etc it's difficult to judge.

It absolutely makes my blood boil. That every man and his dog has known for years that dirty Russian money has been financing this country for years and its taken this horrible situation for this corrupt government to look like they're all over it and prepared to do something about it.
They may "look" like they are all over it but i guarantee they are turning blind eyes where it suits, 100%
