New Everton Stadium

They may "look" like they are all over it but i guarantee they are turning blind eyes where it suits, 100%
Spot on mate. That's what part of my post was implying. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY'RE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. This is what they do. They always look and say what the public wants them to. But in reality everyone with half a brain knows different.

It absolutely makes my blood boil. That every man and his dog has known for years that dirty Russian money has been financing this country for years and its taken this horrible situation for this corrupt government to look like they're all over it and prepared to do something about it.
nothing new in this country BLM activists dumped colstons statue in the river because of his slavery connections, but they all go to the university he built, everyone is hypocritical

That's just based on information we've known over the last 2 days. That whole article is basically using the laing statement they put out. It doesn't really confirm anything, although it was said on itv yesterday that the project is still in place. An official statement from the club would be welcomed

If it was dead in the water (excuse the pun) it would have leaked (sorry again) already.

The fact that Morshiri has put £100m into this already should mean that getting private funding should be easier and no work has stopped which is a good sign that we should be okay.

Of course the sooner the club publish the funding model the better it would be on here.

Interesting piece about how Usmanov’s departure affects the stadium.

‘Usmanov was helping the club to press ahead. His absence impacts on the Everton's ability to service the debts from the stadium construction.'

If we are forced to stay at Goodison we will be in big trouble in the long-term. It has fewer corporate facilities than Brentford and a quarter of the seats at Goodison have an obstructed view. As Premier League ticket prices inevitably go up will fans be willing to pay big money to sit behind a post? Also several people in recent years have raised questions about Goodison’s ability to continue to gain its safety certificate each year. It’s getting more and more dilapidated.
