New Everton Stadium

Is Liverpool bidding for the Commonwealth games? Worked out very well for Man City. Makes building a stadium viable, if we take it over. We'd get a decent location as well.

The statement seems to suggest out of town sites not being considered...

Am I the only one who reads it like that
Does that suggest city centre then?

Where in the city centre? There's barely any space that isn't getting student flats plonked on there, destroying the city.

Purely from an environmental perspective, construction on a greenfield site such as a public park is not really acceptable these days.

Regeneration on a brownfield site is much more preferable and I'd suggest more acceptable to a council and potential investors/partners.

It will be very interesting to learn if Mr.Moshiri and his people are giving re-development of Goodison due consideration as well.

I suggested months ago that a re-developed GP with a 48,000 capacity would be great - but in light of the moves for Spurs and WHU into 60,000+ stadia and with Chelski due to upgrade Stamford Bridge, maybe we will need to look more seriously as a move away from GP so as to accommodate a 55,000 capacity stadium.

A river front aspect aka the Kings Dock where every ship/boat on the Mersey would be greeted with the Everton logo would be unreal.

Fingers crossed that Mr.Moshiri gets it right.

Nothing north of Liverpool waters will be used; Peel are already developing the areas in conjunction with L2. The 20 years master plan shows everything

But isn't 'set in stone' as of yet. Master-plan is done, yes, but it by no means says that there can not be further discussion. Much of the imporvement to that area is actually infrastructure over the next few years. that could help our cause.

the biggest issue, it seems, or at least form what I've been told, is the UNESCO world heritage rulings about obscuring the views of the historic buildings from riverside. There are strict rules over height of development and how it affects the skyline.

So a 3rd failure then.

Im at least confident now with moshiri going forward. The others couldnt put up a tent up in their gardens useless tits

Not really a failure though is it? It was only ever being explored with intent. Its a bit like looking at rightmove and choosing a house, then going for a viewing. If you don't choose to live there, it doesn't make that a failed house move does it?
