New Everton Stadium

Whats Spurs new Stadium called?

It just occured to me I dont know.

99% of Everton fans will forever refer to it as Bramley-Moore.

"You going to Brammers for the Leeds game Harry?"
Not a chance. Do Man City fans say Eastlands? Do Arsenal fans call their ground Ashburton Grove?

I met an American kopite in Norway recently. Our parting words were

Him - “I hope Lampard can do something with you guys. Have a good season”

Me - “I hope you lose every game and Klopp gets AIDS”

….I as in Greece for part of the run-in, watched us win at Leicester in the hotel room & ran down the bar for a bucketful after the win. The Greek barman told me he was a Liverpool fan but wanted Everton to stay up. Ffs, a Greek barman brainwashed but not getting it.

I agree, Liverpool fans will be seeing this and either pretending they are happy with their big stands at Anfield or fuming at those images of huge Cruise ships sailing past our waterfront stadium.
They are right to fear that imagery.

Everton's stadium on a world known river and an extension to its famous waterfront with the Stanley Docks, Pier Head and Three Graces ....Liverpool back up in our old ground oppsite Oakfield Road Community Bakery, the Marked Forever Tattoo Studio and The Albert.

Did Newcastle fans ever call it The Sports Direct?

Or Barca fans say im just going "The Spotify"?

If Everton want to change its name, they need to name it and name it early.

They havent done that, it will forever be called Bramley-Moore.
The club simply wont have it.

It'll be the Mega-Corporation Stadium and nothing else.

Well they both have a new name now. When Aldi rock up, we will go to the Aldi, I guess.

That's exactly what will happen.

No one now calls that thing down at the docks the Kings Dock stadium do they?

It's going to be drummed in by the club and they'll make sure for their naming rights partners that the media only ever refers to this stadium as the '[fill in the blanks corporate name] Stadium'.

I still get utterly confused when I see a tour schedule for bands. I still think of the NEC at Birmingham, as the NEC. Not Motorpoint or whatever it is now.

Thats a point. Has a PL new ground, ever had its name changed from one sponsor to another ? Cos that would do my nut if so.

Only 1 im aware of is the Ricoh or whatever its called.

The arena's first name, 'The Ricoh Arena' came from a multi-year sponsorship deal, reported to be worth £10 million[13] with camera and photocopier manufacturer Ricoh. During construction the stadium was variously referred to as the Jaguar Arena, Arena Coventry and Arena 2000.[14][15]

The sponsorship deal with Ricoh came about after the stadium's initial sponsor, luxury car manufacturer Jaguar, was forced to pull out because of the commercial difficulties that had caused the controversial closure of the large Jaguar assembly plant at the city's Brown's Lane, previously a major source of employment in Coventry. On 4 August 2004, 12 months before the stadium's opening, it had been announced that the new stadium would be called the Jaguar Arena in a deal worth up to £7 million until 2015. However, the deal was cancelled on 17 December 2004.[16] Jaguar did however retain naming rights to the Arena's Exhibition Hall. Ricoh's sponsorship of the new stadium was confirmed on 26 April 2005.[17]

On 5 May 2021, it was announced that the venue would be renamed the Coventry Building Society Arena. The name change came into effect in summer 2021 as a part of a 10-year naming rights deal with the UK's second largest building society.

Im sure theres others.

Im sure theres others.

Thats the Coventry City home ground I think.

This is some of George Ezra's UK schedule this Autumn.

M&S Arena. Liverpool

Motorpoint Arena. Cardiff and Nottingham

Utilita Arena. Newcastle and Birmingham and Sheffield.

Cant see football grounds changing their name/sponsors as often.
