New Everton Stadium

Just wondering what you mean with regard to Morshiri's current and future plans mate?,

Meaning that not having to fund a stadium is (i) less capital intensive and (ii) he has more flexibility in purchasing the remaining shares whilst funding team and commercial development.

So you think he would be more inclined to go with the waterside stadium?, even with running track?

If he wants the best of both worlds (dockland site, best team funding., share purchase) he needs a new investor on board?

Am I right in saying the only official line is that the club and council have identified 2 sites within the city boundaries. Speculation on here and in the Echo has suggested Stonebridge and the docks are the 2 sites. Seems strange then that Councillor Nick Small (assistant Mayor and close to Joe Anderson) would retweet the Echo story which names these sites. Whether he meant to or not, he seems to be confirming that these are the 2 sites

Cheers mate, but the question is still given the (dodgy) dimensions, would it fit on the Trafalgar Dock?

Its a very tight fit and wouldn't allow for the same roofing system due to the fixing points of the cantilever on the outer concourse, but here it is.

Etihad on Trafalgar.webp

He's going to have to find at least £550 million to buy the club outright, fund a stadium and a funding of a truly competitive team.

He has the resources to do that, whether he wants to bring in others at a later date we will have to wait and see.

Thanks Esk, that,s a lot of his eggs in one basket. IMHO I think he will bring in new investors in 2017.

Which if I remember rightly he is planning on buying the club outright?

He will just get a secured loan in the name of the club which one of his companies then guarantees? Not essential to get new partners for that
