New Everton Stadium

Offers been made by who ? Not EFC and certainly not LCC. Maghull North cost £13m 5 years ago to build a station in a cutting. How much now to build a station on a viaduct ? Not happening.
I could see funding being found if, say, we ended up hosting that Euro Championship we’re bidding for. There might be some grants for infrastructure improvements in that event.

But as it stands at present, I’ll believe a station is being built when I see it, yes.

Love that station, 5 mins from my Mum's when I go home. The days of trekking across Maghull from the old station are a thing of the past for me now.

I'll miss the Goodison views

The lads who sit by me in the upper glwadys have asked can supporters still sit in similar sections but don't know what the answer was .does anyone know how the seating procedure will pan out

The shareholders association have asked this question in one of the recent quarterly meetings with the club.

I think it was initially stated that the club would try to do an almost straight transfer of like for like for whole corresponding sections. Forming a best fit of those 30k+ season tickets to the corresponding sections in the new stands. The obvious problems there are that the stands don't really match up perfectly and new corporate sections are much larger and fill some areas that are currently general admission. On top of that both Gwladys Street and Park end season ticket holders might favour the large South stand because the North stand might be less desirable or feel a bit non-descript by comparison. Similarly, fans currently in upper tiers at GP might prefer lower tiers at BMD to be closer to the action. I know that similar moves elsewhere have led to some quite contentious decisions with many fans left disgruntled.

I think the outcome of the discussion was that they'd go for a best fit with some opportunities for choice throughout the process. Not sure how that pans out in practical terms.

I don't normally post but though I'd register to discuss this.

Mods I've been advised this is spam so can't post my thoughts?
