New Everton Stadium

Pretty sure there there will be an overwhelming will to get it finished by all stakeholders. We know it would cost several hundred million to revert back to a dock so if it's that amount of money to complete it or flatten it Moshiri is going to chose the former.

Let's take it a step further and say if something happened to Moshiri so we had zero access to that route, I strongly believe between peel and the council there would be some kind of funding package put in place to finish the stadium. Of course we would pay for it longterm but it would get completed.

Certainly it won't be finished if we go down.

But relegation is still an unlikely prospect given how poor some of the other teams are around us.
Can’t see Mosh letting his £300m+ spend to date sit there unfinished. There’s a term called ‘return on investment’. He will want that investment generating revenue as soon as humanly possible. It’s getting built whatever league we are playing in as a £5-700m stadium generating revenue in any league is better than a £5-600m construction site sitting unfinished & unused.

Just watched the latest drone images. Absolutely brilliant and thanks for posting. I just wonder when the first bit of concrete terracing will be finished. I think the north stand is looking favourite. I'm looking forward to see what it's like.

On another note, do we know how many storeys the east and west stand will have? I think I'm counting a ground floor and then 4 more on top? A lift would show G 1 2 3 4. Is that right?

Also, if I'm not mistaken one of the old turrets at the dock wall seems to have a chimney built on top of it. I'm guessing there is some kind of watchman's gatehouse built into it?

Anyone heard of anything else going up around the stadium yet? I would have thought there would have been a whetherspoons application for somewhere. A new pub? A bar? Anything?

At this rate the Bramley Moore pub is going to be the only pub within a stones throw, not bad when you have 55k worth of people to cater for.
Big risk opening a pub that’s only going to be busy every 2 weeks.
