New Everton Stadium

I don't usually do ITK stuff and have been following Esk's posts on this with interest, but heard something yesterday which puzzled me

A "source" (sorry, I know that's a bellend thing to say, but I can hardly name them on an open forum) mentioned in the last few days that we were in negotiations about Trafalgar Dock - that didn't surprise me at all, given Esk's posts. He also said our "Plan B" is King's Dock and that LCC have agreed, in principle, to development there. Now this one knocked me for six - not seen any mention of it anywhere and, as far as I can tell, there was no reason to lie. I simply don't understand how that one would be physically possible - is there enough room left on that dock to put a stadium on? Surely not?

Anyway, may turn out to be complete rubbish and apologies if it does, but thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone else had heard anything at all about this.

Which of the two is a more prime central location? Is it not King's Dock? If so, why is it our 2nd choice? Not enough space for what we are planning?

Hope you won't mind me not having answers mate. I know as much as I've said there.
Of course not. I was more asking as an international which of the two is a more central location, assuming that would be a better option. I think I remember, after looking at the Liverpool Docks map a few pages back, that Kings Dock is closer to the city centre.

I imagine any Kings dock development would be built on the current arena site, with the arena moving to a new place.

Thanks guys. It would the epitome of irony though wouldn't it?

It would be one way to say we have come full circle, for it to be completed.

However i think thats more of a massive pipe dream, don't think that'll ever happen now the Echo arena is there.

One of the other docks mentioned would be lovely jubbly though.

That would be an amazing outcome, Best club stadium in the country and right next to the city centre. Moshiri sounds a really ambitious guy but that would be off the scale, I want it there and that's were I am gonna have it!! Knock that down and build me the best stadium!

Quite enjoying being an Everton supporter at the moment. Mindset has changed.

Judging by current season tickets sales, I'd say 55k is a sensible sort of capacity. When you look at the availability below it's fairly obvious that, for this coming season, there won't be many tickets on sale from the club, and those that are, are likely to have restricted views.

As a fanbase, we need to get used to the idea that we now have an ambitious owner.

According to that the only 'very good' is standing on the pitch........

Sounds very feasible tbh..... LCC own the arena, just knock it down and incorporate within our new stadium......
