New Everton Stadium

Whats the score with the site at Goodison?

With the plans of us transforming that into some sort of community hub, does it not make sense to sell the site to another company/EITC or something for a good few million to help with PSR?

Everton has confirmed two star-studded ‘evening with’ shows featuring current and former players to take place at Goodison Park as part of the first plans announced to commemorate The Grand Old Lady during its final season.

To mark the farewell campaign at the world-famous stadium, the Club will host a series of events throughout 2024/25 that will see a giant stage erected on the Goodison pitch. Evertonians will have the chance to sit in the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End to enjoy shows featuring some of the biggest and most unforgettable names to have represented the Club through the years.

Gwladys Street Presents, as the series will be named, will kick off on Wednesday 21 August with an evening dedicated to Goodison’s cult heroes – those players who, for varying reasons, Evertonians truly took to their hearts.

The second event, to be held on Wednesday 16 October, will see the final Everton Giants of the Goodison era inducted to the Club’s hall of fame and celebrated alongside all those who have gone before them.

With limited Goodison fixtures remaining, the Club is also working on plans to create more opportunities for supporters to watch live football at the stadium throughout the season, with more information to be communicated in due course.

As part of an enhanced stadium tours offering, there will be even more Legends Experiences, giving fans the exclusive opportunity to explore the stadium’s inner sanctum alongside great names from the Club’s past. These Legends Experiences will be available throughout the 2024/25 campaign, with fans having the opportunity to chat and rub shoulders with some of the finest players ever to don the royal blue jersey during an intimate exploration of the famous Goodison Park.

A new pitchside ‘Farewell Experience’ will afford supporters the opportunity to visit Goodison on a non-matchday and capture those ‘Instagrammable’ or keepsake moments with family and friends*, while revamped Guided History Tours will run daily** for those wanting to take a final walk around some of the stadium’s most storied behind-the-scenes areas and experience first-hand what it is like to walk out of the famous Goodison tunnel to the iconic sound of the siren and Z-Cars.

Planned official Club publications will capture the timeless tales and most revered moments of the stadium’s rich history in both word and picture, while a Goodison-inspired merchandise range will be launched in the second half of the season.

Home matchdays at the stadium will take on dedicated themes throughout the campaign, marking memorable events of the past, celebrating those who have played on the Old Lady’s grand stage, and allowing Evertonians to join in the farewell as we countdown to the emotive final game against Southampton next May.

Fans will also get the chance to spend an entire night inside Goodison one final time - and raise vital funds for Everton in the Community in the process - when the last-ever Goodison Sleepout is held on Friday 11 October.

A host of other exciting events – including more Gwladys Street Presents - are planned throughout the season and supporters should keep an eye on official Club channels for more information.

Tickets for Gwladys Street Presents: Cult Heroes and Gwladys Street Presents: Everton Giants will go on sale to Season Ticket, Hospitality and Official Members from 10am on Wednesday 26 June, when the event host and first guests will also be confirmed on evertonfc.com. General sale will start from 10am on Friday 28 June and tickets for both events will be priced at £55. A limited number of VIP tickets, priced at £120, will also be available and will include a meet-and-greet opportunity with guests and gold circle seating in GT4.

Evertonians wanting to keep up-to-date or get the latest news on all events, products and activities celebrating Goodison Park, will be able to head to a specially-created section of the Club website at evertonfc.com/FarewellToGoodison

Possibly, which could mean they want different prices for upper and lower?

Maybe, I can imagine that the upper tier would be more pricey so you get a better view and the city view concourse.

I read GA will be an accessible concourse all round the ground, might just be for the lower tier as the uppers have the premium seats (west and east upper, with views of the Mersey on the west).

Cult heroes an interesting category you would think straq and Donovan maybe even Terry Curran ,Gravesen ,Amokachi Andre probably dozens of others
