New Everton Stadium

That tunnel at Schalke's ground is a nod to the local mining community that many of their supporters come from. It looks terrible like, but are we going to have a nod in the direction of the port of Liverpool as a way of doing something similar?

That'd be a good idea and further marginalise the Kopites as a club in the inner burbs whose nearest tributary is the River Alt.

Think the ground where it stands is significant enough.
Keeping the name Bramley-Moore, Dockers clock , Hydraulic tower and the retaining dock road wall is plenty.

In honour of the local docks, there's going to be a load of brasses in the tunnel offering to suck the players off for a fiver.

It's a shame what's happened there..

It's backward looking and ridiculous.

Just let go of the past. That criss-cross pattern was a bit of structural engineering to make sure a grandstand didn't collapse on people. That's it.

Leitch would probably piss himself laughing at the ridiculous fetishisation of his design.

Are we looking forward or backwards, Dave? You seem a little inconsistent on this issue.

I think that beautiful wall across the dock road is wonderful and reminds people of our proud heritage.

Yes, but a tunnel that celebrates the city's maritime links should be baked into our identity down there from now on.
