New Everton Stadium

Not sure we need that given the external environment, the surrounding area is a living monument to our past (both bad and good) - it’s a dichotomy isn’t it? You yourself have said that the stadium is so-so but the location is amazing, but obviously what comes with that are the echoes from the past,
Dave wants all remnants of the maritime history removed from the outside of the stadium. He definitely wants the listed dock walls pulled down so we can see the stadium better. I don't believe he has publicly stated his position on the hydraulic tower but from some, very specific, angles it compromises the view of the new stadium too, so, applying his logic from the dock wall argument, I assume that's got to go as well. However, some artificial nonsense in the tunnel, that has no actual historical value, is paramount, obvs.

So we are looking backwards. Weird. You seemed dead set against that. It's almost as if you just want people to argue with you.

Looking backwards is fine when it’s about the history of the city in relation to the club, but it’s terrible when it’s about the history of the club itself, I.e. the only stadium the club played at, in the living memory of every Evertonian, and is ingrained in the identity of every match going fan.

But also, any ownership structure must always keep alive the identity of the club, but probably not anything about Goodison Park, as that is definitely not part of our identity.

Or something.

In a long list of weirdly contrived arguments (dock walls, wind turbines, brickwork markings, etc...) this is his worst one yet. I'm sure he can sink lower, however.

Here's a new avatar for you @davek. Seems apt with all the hot air you're blowing 😉...

Ultrabeat west stand

The weather forecast has fairly high (15-25) winds all week and bar a couple of decent days for much of the week afterwards. Factoring in gust speeds from davek’s hairdryer posts it will likely slow down completion of the barrel cladding and other lifting work. Matty should definitely keep his drone at home and leave it to the experienced guys.

Yes agree about Matty and his drone, knowing our luck Matty's drone will directly hit the stadium at its weakest point and flatten it.
