New Everton Stadium

Handover is scheduled well before we’re due to play innit though. Hence why the club did a survey about moving mid season or at the end of it.
It was a 'tongue in cheek' remark because the club, and not LoR are taking responsibility for the install of the Granite Pavers.

That being said, the handover only relates to the works LoR are responsible for. There will still be works, like the pavers, to follow which the club will procure and project manage. Probably why they have delayed the first game to start of 25/26 season, gives them plenty of time to mess things up and still be ready in time! ;)

Love seeing everyone’s pics/vids. Can we do some photos of how it looks from places in the distance. Like, on the waljs/roads leading up to it, and from town?

The perspective from phone cameras doesn’t really do it justice how big the stadium actually looks from this side. From about Wallasey town hall up towards New Brighton, there’s loads of streets leading down towards the river with the stadium dominating the background.

Admiring the street scene. I'm not a local, so no bearings on locality, but loving the contrast of present, and the future.
Can't fathom what's happening in the doorway of the corner property there

I mean that’s a mad picture considering Goodison is on there too.

Imagine that for a night game!

Why don't you think it will become an issue?
Why are you insistent it will become an issue?

Not having a go btw, I'd have liked it to be bigger. The initial presentation by Meis at St Luke's with the 3 tiers was brilliant.

But being realistic, how many would you expect to show up midweek v Brentford/Palace/Brighton?

I'd rather a full stadium every week over pockets of seats here and there.
Enter into discussions with peel,, plenty of nondesdcript wasteland around there,,,
Well, he have the land to the east and west. The utility company has the land to the north (not Peel) and there's a massive hole filled with water to the south.

Options are limited.

Bedsides, if the club ever did expland (whilst trying to maintain the integrity of the design) we'd operate at a hugely reduced capacity.

It's not happening, I'd suggest you make your peace with it before you morph into Dave and keep on pointlessly banging the capacity drum.

Just to confirm the Club are responsible for the laying of The Everton Way and also a lot of the hospitality areas inside. All these only start once the project is fully handed over by LOR. It was also confirmed that white seats in various designs will be used once sponsorship etc has been decided
