New Everton Stadium

Having friends who work at both breweries I can say with a degree of confidence the sites on offer aren't by Ten streets..or close

Just for sake of friendly debate...How would,in your opinion high rise apartments be more beneficial to that little area as opposed to actual thriving businesses which are currently there.
Plenty of old warehouses of bigger space in Ten Streets than there is, and also acres if undeveloped land, some just slithers between buildings but also decent enough space to develop anything, would take investment but can be done.

The business currently housesed there moved in knowing there wslas a masterclass in place for it to be developed, all of the businesses could move elsewhere and still do well, and a good few of them could occupy ground floor retail units there. While the city still benefits from another cluster of tall buildings and the population of the city centre increases with much need housing.

Because they’re small, cheap ugly looking buildings which hold no significant heritage to the surrounding area, which requires joint investment from the city centre to our stadium and has the potential to be much more.

NIMBY
As opposed to Tall,Expensive and Half Empty high rise?...Am sure we'll lauding it's cultural heritage in years to come.

Whether you think it's ugly or not is besides the point.

Also I wasn't talking to you...so pipe down merkin.

"But, but, but...our ground dominates the skyline and is sorta seamless...from some angles".

They chances are they’ll lose a lot of business when others move into ten streets, it’s next to a Costco and home bargains.

NIMBY

How many more jobs will be created during the construction of the 4/5 talls they are going to build on the site? Well paid construction jobs, too. Add to that an increase of the city centre population by several hundreds of relatively wealthy people who will have money to spend in the shops, restaurants and bars around town. Surely keeping the units there will mean fewer jobs overall?
