Correct, the cheapest seats are at the back of the ground, so if you were to increase the capacity think about how much it costs to make the stand bigger for a few rows of general admission.

Tom on here will better explain.

If or when safe standing is introduced at hopefully a 1:1.5 ratio the capacity will eventually increase by a few thousand.

I remember someone from the club/design team saying that making a bigger capacity adds seats that are the most expensive to install and generate the least income.

They should have made it bigger for the demand. Not everything has to be for profit. There's a 34k season ticket waiting list.

It does if we want to have a competitive team. There isn't an economic case for the additional seats as far as I understand and it won't improve the atmosphere.

My arl fellas Red mate was working in London in the early 90s with a load of Spurs fans and they all decided to get tattoos on the back of their calves, so he needed a reference picture for the artist to use,so what he did was to get his ma to send Echo down because there is a picture of the Liver bird on the front of the newspaper.

Problem was the artist copied the picture as is and when he got up to have a look when it was finished he realised the Liver Bird had a big rolled up Echo in its mouth instead of those little branches ha.

Don't think he wore short till he got it sorted years later ha.
