New Everton Stadium

There's about 4 entrances onto the fan plaza that will be open on matchdays on the dock wall
Plus the added catering / boozing options within the stadium concourse and on the fan plaza (expectation is for container/pop up concessions) is assumed to have fans arriving earlier and over a longer timeframe. I.E. less of a concentrated time pinch point with everyone piling through turnstiles at 2.50 for a 3pm kick off.

You'll never make it mate.
You'd never know there was a stadium there that wall is so big.

I'm a man of many talents Tommye.

This will only work if the catering and the drink is not overly priced and is a much better quality than you would get now at Goodison. If they over price the stuff on sale inside the ground folks will stay in their chosen alehouse near the ground and head to the ground late as normal. The opening of the stadium gives the club the chance to cash in on supporters before and after the game, but fans won`t head in early to buy pints or food that are much dearer than in local pubs and chippers. Hopefully they price the stuff to encourage fans to spend their cash in the ground, but looking at home they decided to price the jersey this season my hopes for them getting this right are low at best.

*BMD*

You will all receive an email at the end of October with how long you’ve held your Season Ticket for. You will need to confirm or challenge this with the club.

The same thing for memberships will happen, how long you’ve had one, against your place in the season ticket waiting list.

Pricing for BMD per stands will come after that. There will be various prices as in the better views cost more. They will also at this stage give everyone an overview of each stand. You will also find out at this stage how many extra season tickets will become available. But they have said to not expect this too high because the game by game demand is much higher now. They literally won’t give a figure on this right now.

On sale dates will be very similar to the usual season ticket sale dates, so after Christmas. They have said this will be virtual picking not actually at BMD

Priority order is based on tenure they have confirmed but they won’t give any further details on exact structure yet as it’s not signed off, due to people wanting to sit together who may of held season tickets for a different length of time.

The only thing they have confirmed, is the new ‘family’ stand you will only be eligible to sit there if you have someone under 18

*Goodison*
Last game at Goodison, they will know the exact date the weekend after the FA Cup Semi final, but due to the weekend it is in, the FA CUP is the Saturday so the game will have to be the Friday, Sunday or Monday.

They will release details on what and how you can buy from Goodison next year sometime. As everyone is asking about their seats, they are in talks about everything so nothing at this stage can be confirmed

The 3 concerts at Goodison are still in talks with many people. Nothing close to being announced

Ok, maybe a stupid question, but how are fans going to get into the stadium area?
Only accessible from one direction, and that is mainly blocked off by the dock wall with very narrow access points.
Looks like a huge bottleneck to me, but I am obviously missing something
hoverboard, monorail, jetpack or water taxi for most of us I reckon

Only 4?
Boooo. Needs 6 at least.
There was a video a few weeks back by one of the drone pilots on youtube that counted 6 or 7 entrances cut into the dock wall so plenty of access. Also as others have said the food and drink amenities available mean people will be at and in the ground earlier than Goodison. Might be a slight bottle neck after the game though.

Totally. Done right, there should be options there for every pocket. Common sense.

I don't need to be convinced. I adore the place already.
To build it where we have, with all that it took to make it possible, was a massive risk.
What we have to look forward to will be the envy of football.
People will moan about transport, capacity and whatever else they wanna moan about but when that place is rammed full of nearly 53k rabid Evertonians there won't be many better places in the world to play football.
And it's ours 💙

It's the old sweetspot economics argument. For each 10k increase in capacity, the overall cost can increase by 50% or more, as heavier structure, more vertical transport, more floors/floorspace, more roof area etc are all required. Yes, if it's a freeby stadium, or if your owner has really deep pockets, they can afford to "stack 'em high and sell'em cheap". However, if the club needs to cover the costs or the owner wants a short term ROI, with new seats that pay for themselves asap, then they'll want to control those costs and at a capacity that maintains a healthy demand, that won't require selling cheap ticket prices to fill it. We don't yet know how solid or cost resilient our waiting list is. It has grown out of years reasonably priced season tickets at a limited capacity stadium. Opening up that capacity too far and having to increase those ticket prices to cover the subsequent increased costs, could see those waiting lists disappear. After all, 53k represents a not insignificant 30% increase in capacity.
we've sold ourselves short imo and will come back to bite us in the near future.
