@muckers (who has worked on the site and is still in contact with LOR staff) said last week they've managed to squeeze a few more seats in to get it to 53k

Its not the actual capacity that grates on me a little, but the seemingly lack of major future expansion. Totally made up with the stadium, dont get me wrong, but have just that little bit of disappointment with such a great venue having a max of 53,888 seats (or a few thousand over with standing). Feels like weve missed a trick not catering for major events or heaven forbid we actually are successful in the future.

I'm not sure people realise what a quantum leap a 53k, ultra-modern stadium will be.

The difference between Goodison and BMD is measured in light years.

The difference between a 53k BMD and a 60k BMD is minuscule in comparison.

I’ve asked for the heads up from the club when they test floodlights etc don’t think I’ll get it though

Any decent parent would do the decent thing and wait for their kids time to come up and sit with them instead of the other way around.
