We’ve struggled to finance 53k!! We’d be in even worse debt now if building 60k+.

I’d rather a a full 53k stadium then a 60k that we may not be filling every game. We don’t even fill Goodison for cup games at £15 a go, usually get about 30k. Imagine a 53k stadium with that turn out, it’d look empty, even worse if it was bigger.

We're going from 39k to 53k mate, it's a decent jump. I always thought 55 would be the magic number but 53 is still a decent jump from 39k at Goodison.

Just enjoy it for what it is mate. Everton have a habit of sucking the fun out of things anyway. This, dear Matthew, is a once in a lifetime thing. Don't let it pass you by. Embrace it, and enjoy it mate.

I haven’t allowed myself to get excited due to the mess on the pitch and in managerial positions but this should be a really exciting time as a blue.

It looks incredible and the usual matchday experience is going to change significantly (for the better, imo).
