New Everton Stadium


I'm going to stick my neck out and say Everton fans are going to be royally disappointed by the eventual outcome of this. Anderson fighting a battle on two fronts, and something is going to give.

I reckon there isn't a chance in hell that Everton will end up with a football-only stadium on the docks.

Unless big Joe offers Everton a choice of docks now (built in 5 years) or free stadium in 10 years at SC.
 
We won't wait 10 years for a stadium - that totally derails the Moshiri project for increasing revenue. The Commenwealth Games won't be hosted in a 5+ year old stadium. The stadiums are usually sited on brownfield sites to encourage regeneration of an area - this regeneration will have already been done around our new stadium. I would guess we'll build our own on the docks, there will be a purpose built stadium built if we were the winning bidder. That would leave the possibility of the RS taking it over after the games. All hypothetical, but still believe this will have no impact or influence on our plans for a new stadium.
