New Everton Stadium

What about King's Dock. I hear that is Plan B?

Not even remotely. I have no idea where that came from, but absolutely not. It's a mental idea in all honesty, you just have to consider what that would mean. Knock down citys biggest purpose buolt multi use arena and replace with what? Something that can only be used at weekends in the summer..... never mind facts that exhibition centre opened officially about 2 months ago, that would also have to go.

So no Stonebridge Cross, no Trafalgar or King's Docks. Are we redeveloping Goodison?

He will still be major of Liverpool won't he? Just not major of Liverpool city region

Dunno Kev, a mate just called me to say he'd heard it on the radio so not got the full details.
Fingers crossed whoever the new mayor is won't adversely affect the project ;)

No mate they are not electing a new mayor of Liverpool, they are creating a brand new Liverpool city region major, I.e. Knowsley, Sefton etc, Anderson will remain as mayor of Liverpool city

Point taken but what I was asking in a rhetorical sort of way was, would he have not had "impeccable credentials" if he was an Evertonian?
Once again, fawning at anything associated with those spawn of satan.

Next Summer we'll have a new metro mayor (most likely Steve Rotherham), replacing the Liverpool City Mayor with a Liverpool Region Mayor, so Joe anderson will be replaced. I think Joe will do his best to get the EFC stadium through before next May, so that it's not affected, but even after that, Rotherham knows that everyone knows he's a RS, so he can't afford to delay or block the stadium move as it'll make him look stupid and biased.
