Have to admit I was underwhelmed by it inside. The outside and concourses look superb. Hopefully with a crowd it will look better as I imagine it will be intimidating

Goodison with a crowd in it is certainly intimidating at the moment, shame its our lot that get intimidated though.

The inside does look rather generic. It will look better with electronic advertising and a full crowd.

It's the outside that makes this what it is. That's why I hope they can still do something with the barrel lighting and make the most of the plaza and western terrace which will at the least be enhanced further through the customisation process.

With an appropriate dash of colour here and there, the Everton branding, and (hopefully) an enhancement to the lighting, it should and will look truly magnificent in a fantastic setting.

Spurs stadium does look impressive from the inside, empty or packed. I think ours looks far better from the outside which is more defining for a stadium imo, and can look better again which everything is completed.

A lot voted for Kirby because they knew we needed to move as redevelopment was no non starter and the longer we took to find a new home the further we were being left behind. We were being sold a bad deal and thankfully it hit a road block. What we ended up with is much better than anything we`d have got in Kirby.

Tbh, that was their biggest lie, and was no more credible than the others.

The issue was: because of serious mismanagement, the club hadn't a pot to pee in, so they wanted someone else to fund it... that wasn't going to happen at Goodison without an enabler. As it was later shown, it also wasn't going to happen at Kirkby, because the enabling value was so small. Hence the main reason why the club never reapplied to build the stadium after the retail scheme rejection..... reinforced of course, by the discredited transport plan.
