Thinking about it, I reckon what has happened is that they've had a staff pur have period prior to 10am, and it has overlapped somehow with the time we were allowed on. Staff must've been able to buy theirs plus 1 early. That would explain why hundreds of the best seats in the area I was interested in had gone by 10:01. The system must have confused some of us really early birds with them.in the system and duly messed us about cause our restrictions didn't match their restrictions for purchase, hence the inability to make the purchase and losing the seats we wanted.

Still pretty raw about it tbh. Though I won't put the blame at Evertons door, this is entirely on Ticketmaster.

If this was the case, all they had to do was mark them as unavailable and then I could have gone straight for the most suitable available seats instead of wasting time and missing out on those as well

That was the single most stressful thing I have ever done. Horrendous, 10:01, tickets in the basket spent 15 minutes with my two ideal seats in my basket cause it wouldn't let me progress into the purchasing page. Told me to refresh the page to resolve the issue, binned my tickets out, then they were then not available, nor anything around me. Searched for another two together, went back and across, picked out the next two, put in basket, Then I was given a notice that I was a staff purchaser and couldn't purchase the number I wanted. Started again, managed to get the exact same two seats, checked the details, seat, block etc, paid, then the receipt detailed a different block number which is further towards the corner than the seats I'd put in my basket.

It shouldn't be this difficult. Id consider myself fairly tech savvy, I really feel for those that aren't.

Sorry for you experience there mate, I should have been sorting mine out today but thanks to the kids tenure I was spared - hoping they resolve these ridiculous issues by the time I go into the breach!

As soon as I heard ticketmaster were involved I knew it would be a pain in the ass, although I was hoping that TFG would get a grip of all the usual “Everton that” crap early on and sort us out, maybe they still will.

Dyche being worse than terrible meant they had other things to focus on I suppose!

Staff were able to purchase 2 tkts on friday and even then they had issues. Reckon you are correct with the overlapping early on. I went to tkt office and was about 10th in the queue. Thought that would be fine cos their are 6 windows but only 3 opened which eventually went to 4. This meant i got seen at 10.15. I had also been trying online since 10am with no joy. Wanted front row ( of course ) of block 220 as near as poss to the corperate. Ended up 10 rows back and 30 seats away. Gutted isnt the word especially when your tenure is 44 years! Safe to say i m well and truly pizzed off!

My complaint



I have genuinely never been so stressed in my life. I have extensively researched my requirement for my seat at the new stadium, and for the needs of my father and have had anxiety about this moment since finding out the date we get to choose our seats. I did absolutely everything I could to get the seats I wanted, and at 10:01 I had those perfect seats chosen and assigned to myself and my father, only to be told that the system would not allow me to progress. I pressed try again, and the same issue happened. I refreshed the page as instructed by the system and the seats disappeared off my selection showing as taken, so I chose others nearby and had exactly the same issue. I did this on 3 occasions each time moving further away from my ideal seats, based on access and similarity to Goodison park viewing experience. I finally got past that initial stage with my 4th seat selection, assigned the seats to the correct people and went to the basket. Here I was informed that I couldn't purchase the seats as I was apparently a staff member and could only buy staff +1. I have never worked for Everton and I have no idea why it would think I do.

I then had to start all over again, missing out on yet another seat selection, finally getting a seat, a whole block away from where I had Initially wanted.

The decisions we made today on seat location will very likely be a decision that I will live with for another 40+ years, and my father for the rest of his. I did absolutely everything that I could to ensure that I did my part to get that right and my father and myself have been let down immensely by the ticketmaster system. I'm really dissapointed by the final process in what has, up to now, been an exemplary experience in preparation for our historic ground move.

Its box office / stewards, they have the chance to take 2 season tickets each, and can / have chosen seats before all the tenure process begun.

Good for them! They are paid peanuts, so need to be able to get a few perks
