New Everton Stadium

South Upper, fairly central. (Arch, you're a Legend šŸ’™)

You really really don't wanna see a 54yr old man crying tears of absolute joy. šŸ˜‚

It was weird in Test1, I was sat watching people have genuine open mouth moments as they walked up the stairs.

I remember taking my own, and both my kids first times seeing the green grass of Goodison, and that first moment of 'Wow'. Until Test1 I had never seen the same from my Dad. It was a genuinely lovely moment. That same fleeting moment played itself out thousands of times that night and will again tomorrow afternoon. I was privileged enough to be at the first, and more so to be at the second. Really looking forward to walking around the stadium this time and really taking it all in at scale.

I still get that WOW feeling every single time I reach the top of the stairs and see that wide expanse of green at Goodison.
Still gives me goosebumps after 50yrs of going. šŸ’™

We are in upper South for the test event, row 37 seat 294, not sure how high that is but believe the lift won't be operational, probably due to work on Everton way. Awaiting hernia op, will be fun going up them stairs. but the view will make up for it. My season ticket is the other end, but it will be great having a different view.
Aren't there escalators?

May have been mentioned, been told we have asked for the first three fixtures next season to be played away. Maybe to make sure the pitch is given time to fully bed in. Anyone else heard this?

Surely sponsors are mutually exclusive to having a big ā€˜EFCā€™ marked out on one of the stands?
I assume the real reason is poor planning.

ā€¦.i remember somebody posting that planning permission was granted some time ago for signage on the stadium roof.

We really need to continually mention ā€˜The Fourth Graceā€™ as it really gets under the skin of our neighbours.
