New Everton Stadium

Ahhh didn’t know that! Strange that the dugouts won’t be in view but I suppose that’s not the norm at every ground, just something I’m used to at Goodison
Yeah, that will take some getting used to.

I’m pleased at least that the South Stand will be on the right, like the Gwladys - which seems like a little thing, but will help with re-orientation.

We had, 3 of us the salt n pepper with chips, quite small, £12 each, 2 × coke, a water and I bought 3 coffees, all nice apart from the coffees, which I put 6 sachets of milk in and the coffee still did not change colour ! Far too strong. Anyway that salt n pepper done as a starter for Tai Pan after match. :)

I’ve read that it’s going to be £8 a pint and basically about £10 for a small portion of any food that isn’t a pie.

I get that they are trying to make money but given they have been spinning the people’s club line with Moyes coming back, they need to practice that same ethos in the new ground. I don’t think any of us would be annoyed at spending a bit more than a pint would cost in town but let’s not get silly with it
End of the day nobody is obligated to purchase anything inside of the stadium and there are no rules to prevent you from bringing in your own food. Don't know about drinks (due to the containers), but home fans aren't being searched upon entry to the ground.

….daughter was looking for something for her 3yo but it was a struggle because there wasn’t much available. She reckoned what was there was decent, ‘home made’ pies etc, seems like it’ll ultimately be a step up in quality on Goodison cuisine but more expensive.

She was after a ‘hot chocolate’ drink for the little fella but it wasn’t on at this point. She was offered Bovril.

I suspect it’ll be decent.
My lad had a hot chocolate and said it was amazing. ‘At Goodison it tastes like water, here it tastes like proper chocolate’!.. take of that what you will…

Food was confiscated at the gate. My wife was only trying to take a large bag of peanuts in... they checked her bag and removed them. Not sure what will happen to the tea flask and butty brigade haha.

£36.90 for 2 x rather small beef chilli loaded fries (crap and tasteless according to the kids), 4 x soft drinks and 1x small can of corona. Chilli fries were £10.50 each. Not worth it.

Swerve them - may try other stuff but portion size form high price needs looking at.

Not had a pie yet, but well dearer than Goodison.

Will prob eat at the wok on the dock or outside somewhere before we go in looking at things.

The doughnuts are boss mind, if they don’t run out!

Yes it is a shame, but as soon as I discovered this I went and checked highlights from every other Premier League team and lots are like that… so it’s not that we’re an isolated example.

Is there ledges or anywhere to put your food down while you have a swig of ale - or do have to do a balancing act like at Goodison ?

The comparison for me is what's the cost of food and drinks at the echo arena?
When was the last time anyone went there unless it was to see a group of 50 year old boyband members from the 90s.

Manchester is the only place with an arena that will attract big names these days, we have been left behind in that regard due to small thinking much like the transport lack of foresight
