New Everton Stadium

I overhead Merseyrail staff recently talking about re-opening old tunnels soon. (Not sure which ones) I know the docks use to have overhead rail links/stations.

Any old underground stations near the docks?

Thanks for taking the time to explain.
Does this mean the footprint is limited to the actual water area of BM dock or do you think it would include the land on wellington dock as well.?

First I heard of that was on here, so I really don't know tbh.

It's not Clarence Dock. The Echo read something on the KEIOC website, which itself has some glaring untruths/mistakes in it and copied it near verbatim with little to no journalistic investigation. They attributed the cost to a £/acre figure and guessed that it would match the size of land at Trafalgar/Clarence.

Not to mention that the available land at BM is larger than that at Trafalgar/Clarence as you have to consider the existing canal waterway.

Agreed that it doesnt make too much sense to say "Clarence dock is available for 20 mill", then say "Everton have paid 30 mill for a site" and then say "It must be Clarence dock". They must be the worst negotiators ever, or one of the two of those is wrong.

Can someone summarise the last 30 pages please? Serious replies as I have limited time available just now

It seems that EFC have bought a parcel of dockland from Peel to build, I would guess, a stadium on. It looks like the site will be at the northern end of the new Liverpool Waters development, or in other words, the very first thing cruise liners will see as they enter the Mersey estuary.

And Kopites everywhere are fuming.
