Like the first one most... But I thought the Kings dock stadium plans looked awesome when they were released... Not sure if it would look " dated" these days tho. Regarding the World Cup... I fail to see how a competition that promotes togetherness and brings literally all the different people of the world together. Can be held in a country that you can't drink in, are not allowed into if your Jewish and it's illegal to be gay lol not that I'm an alchohic Jew that loved having my ring destroyed.... But if I was it would mean I couldn't go to the World Cup... And that's bs imo
Also, a country that since being selected has turned the sporting calendar on it's head.
Sepp ratified their bid ages ago, and all the talk since then has been towards winter breaks and summer fixtures for all countries affected. (The inducement must have been worthwhile to have the tail wag the dog so vigorously for Sepp et a)l.
WHY? This country has NO human rights to speak of, and nor does it have proper facilities or football stadia. All the criteria needed to hold a multinational football tournament (arf arf).
What it does have, though, is unbelievable wealth.
So the programme should be;
Prove you can host this tournament.
Build stadia and amenities which can accommodate such an occasion.
As they have to build stadia etc from scratch, THEY have build them to meet regulations and the demands of the teams, and respect the current league commitments these players come from.
So that the world does not have to change fixtures etc, build ALL stadiums with retractable roofs, and have them ALL air conditioned.
You have six years and mountains of money to complete this. DO IT.
All games can be played throughout the summer months at any time of the day.
It's still not too late, even now.
