New Everton Stadium

Its a bit further out than what a lot of people may think. My only concern location wise is if nothing else gets built between there and princes dock it could well look isolated and not part of the expanding city centre. Its a good walk from town too. A good 30-35 minutes and not the 10 minutes many seem to think.
But its not Stonebridge cross, which is a positive

Think thats the idea though. The Stadium would sort of book end the whole Liverpool Waters development at the northern end. Be the first thing cruise liners would see approaching the estuary.

Still an excellent location plus I'm sure if the stadium is going to be built there you will see the bars etc spring up around it.

After all 30mins isn't too far. Many people walk in and out to Goodison.

I'm surprised people think it takes that long to walk, you can be at the liver buildings in 10 min's. 1 project may kick start the generation; however the titanic has been developed (as we know) and the same developers are working on the old heritage market now. It's being turned into apartments, office space and a Campden town style market

Exactly, 5 years ago the only pub (hell probably the only open business!) around the closed james street station was the Cains Brewery Tap. Now look at the place, its thriving.

As much as I hate the expression, but "Build it and they will come"! lol

I was only asking someone the other day what was happening to the heritage market site. Yeah it's a bit further north than most expected but after a bit of tarting up, it's not going to be the worst walk in the world from town.
Plus, as others have mentioned, the further away from town the better it's going to be for traffic.

I think we need to be slightly wary of that Chinese Investment. If they become the richest club in the league it is not inconceivable that they buy up the surrounding area and have roads re-routed to enable them to redevelop the remainder of their stadium to the same spec as their main stand. As crazy as it sounds they could even effectively write-off the redevelopment and build a new super stadium. I guess we will always have a location advantage but I would be shocked to see them settle for what they have long term.

Still though this would be huge for our brand if we can pull it off. For me it is integral that we have a design that enables us to generate the best atmosphere in the league and therefore a competitive advantage over our rivals.

Mate this is not about them, who cares what they do, this is about us on Bramley Dock. We're getting it by the looks of things and that is as good as it gets. :D

Totally up for redevelopment that gaff, going to be ace as well. Sandills ain't to far away and the rest is walkable, I'm sure a shuttle service will be in place from the city. Only issue is what I've pointed out previously, the stacking of trucks to L2 with added match day congestion

No mate, it's definitely a half hour walk to the pier head. Not a problem to my mind, first 10 minutes you're buzzing from the match then you're nearly in town, and I'm pretty confident it would form part of a larger development project. Half hour walk to and from a stadium from a city centre is no problem. I walk into town from Goodison now, that's way longer.

I think the whole area will be transformed. It's bound to attract more investment just having a new stadium there. As you say, let's hope they've considered improving the roads/rail links.

It's hard to see from the outside but the part of the interior has been cut out for this development, it's more advanced that many people who realise. I know you know more through work but most won't realise. That area alone will be bustling by the time the stadium comes about. Princes Dock as you know will be very different too. If these plans are more than just the stadium which I believe they are, then there will be a total transformation in years to come. Exciting times.
