Fair point, I just thought the wall distracts a bit , makes the stadium less open and obstructs the view of it. It’s not the end of the world for me though , appreciate everyone’s counter arguments

I thought the crowd capacity of BMD was to low for a CL final sure I read somewhere that it had to be at least 60k.

Unlikely, it's capacity isn't high enough to give it a sufficient UEFA category rating.

Great vid that mate. Only just noticed the North stand roof (above the brickwork) has been painted (or do they call it screeted?) dark grey. Looks a lot better. East West and South still to do.

Around the pitch looks good as well doesn't it.

@AndyRJ do you know if the West stand corporate section (in the middle, lower tier) is on a different gradient to the non corporate section either side? Looks a lot steeper to me.

Only one stadium at < 60,000 has since 2006 held the Champions League final, Estádio do Dragão in Porto, Portugal (capacity 52,000) and that was ONLY because the UK Government demanded it to be moved from Turkey during the COVID pandemic in 2021

The capacity was criticised at the time. Every other stadium chosen was 60,000+ and typically they want 70,000 for security reasons. @chicoazul

Maybe if the Friedkins increase capacity of Bramley Moore Dock in the next 5 years we may host a UCL Final.

More likely Europa League or Conference final as @Timbucktoo says where there is fewer lower capacity restrictions
